Fast TIN option’s influence on Contours

When generating contours from a gridded point cloud, issues can arise in the resulting contours.  This can cause horizontal offsets between lines from separate processing blocks resulting in contour lines that are split into multiple segments.

Usually, the “Use Fast TIN” option is checked in the Las Properties dialog. The default value. This option uses the Divide and Conquer method that generates contours faster, but does not TIN a uniform grid.

By unselecting this option, the software will use the Incremental method of generation that allows it to triangulate a uniform grid resulting in non-segmented output contours.
