    Hi
I am planning some mobile scanning measurement. In the place of measurement there will be no opportunity to have ground control points (normally we painted white signs on the road). Do you know if TerraMatch is able to find a vertical control points (for example on some pillars or poles)? What is more: can the sign be black on white background?

In TerraMatch v017.007 for the CONNECT edition products, the ability to search for signal markers on vertical surfaces was added.

    1. Set Placement as Vertical surface in signal marker definition.
    2. Compute normal vectors for the point cloud.
    3. Use Import points / From text file or Import points / From selected vectors to run the search.

By definition Signal markers are bright paintings on dark surfaces. For more information see Signal Markers in the TerraMatch User Guide.
