Selecting a Layer/Data Set for Elevation Conflation

About Selecting Layers/Data Sets

Selecting a layer or data set defines the features for conflating elevations. The selection can be an existing layer in the map or a data set you navigate to using a file dialog.

The layer or data set can be a point, line, or polygon type. Not all conflation methods are available for each geometry type. For example, if a point data set is selected, the downstream constraint method is not available for selection.

How to Select a Layer/Data Set

Layer Box

  1. To select an existing layer within the map, click the down arrow on the Layer box and select the desired layer.

Open Data Set Command

  1. To select a data set that is NOT within the map, click the Open Data Set Command.
  2. Navigate to the data set to open and click "Add".
  3. The data set will be selected by default in the Layer box.
