Fixing Invalid LAS Files

About Invalid LAS Files

An LAS file that cannot be found on disk is termed invalid and will display an exclamation point beside the file. After saving the LIDAR Layer to disk, a file can become invalid when an LAS file is deleted or moved to another directory. Double clicking on the LAS file gives you the opportunity to select a new file or select the file in its new location.

How to fix invalid LAS files

Double Click on the File

  1. Double click on the LAS file label.
  2. A file browser will appear. Navigate to the new file or the new location of the file.
  3. Select the file, and click "Open".

Tip

  • Double click on the filename label to engage the dialog box.
