The descriptive name or label associated with a category can be modified.

How to Modify the Label for a Category

Label Box

1. Open the Properties dialog.

2. Select the 'Symbology' tab and the 'Return Combination' tab within it.

3. Within the Label column, click twice over the label you wish to edit. After a slight pause, a box should appear so that the label can be edited or a predefined return combination can be selected.

4. Input a new label into the box, or select a predefined return combination from the list. If selecting from the list, the values associated with the category will also be modified.

5. Click outside the box to accept the new label.

Tip Do not press the "Enter" key to accept the new label.
