About Executing Point Cloud Tasks Using Rectangular Stamps

The Rectangular Stamp tool allows users to execute the selected task over the area represented by the cursor. Each left-click of the tool executes the selected task on the area under the cursor. The user can customize the size of the cursor by using the CTRL + Arrow keys. The rectangular stamp tool is useful when there are numerous areas roughly the same size and shape that require an execution of a task. The stamp tool works well for point cloud tasks that perform clean-up duties after automated filters such as bare-earth, or building filters have been executed.

How to Execute Point Cloud Tasks Using Rectangular Stamps

Execute By Rectangular Stamp Tool

1. With the Execute By Rectangular Stamp tool selected, left-click in the map over the area you wish to execute the selected task for.
2. If the selected task is an extractor, select an output dataset. If the dataset exists and is compatible with the extractor, select 'Yes' to append to the existing dataset, or 'No' to overwrite the dataset.

Tip To change the size of the cursor use the CTRL + Arrow keys.
