About the Preview Window's Magnification
When evaluating the results of a task in the preview window, it is
useful to set a magnification amount that allows the user to quickly
move the preview window around in the map to locations of interest
without panning or zooming the map window. Given the same map scale,
a large magnification will cover a smaller area than at smaller magnification
levels. Changing the magnification level will modify the rectangular
guide displayed when moving the preview window in the map window.
Smaller levels of magnification will increase the size of the guide
whereas larger levels of magnification will decrease the size of the
guide. The points within the extent of the guide are loaded into the
preview window.
