About Changing the LAS Files Path

LAS files may be moved to new servers or new directories. If the LAS files are being referenced by a LIDAR Layer on disk, the LAS files become invalid when used again in ArcMap™. Changing the path to the LAS files is a quick way to reconstruct the LIDAR Layer's reference to the file's new location.

How to Change the LAS Files Path

"Set Path(s)" Button

1. Click the "Set Path(s)" button.
2. Navigate to the new path for the LAS files and click OK.

Tip Use the "Shift" key to select a range of files and the "Ctrl" key to select multiple files. The path will only be modified for the selected files, otherwise all of the LAS file path's will be changed.
