Zooming and Panning to LAS Files

In large LIDAR projects, being able to navigate to specific LAS files is important. You may zoom or pan to the extents of one or more selected LAS files.

The "Zoom to File" or "Pan to Files" Context Commands

    1. Right click on a LAS file label or an existing selection in the LAS Files Contents View.

    2. Click on the Zoom command to zoom to the extent of the selection or the Pan command to shift the map to the centroid of the extent of the selection.

Tip

  • The mouse cursor must be located on the filename label when using the right click.
  • To zoom or pan to all LAS files without selecting each file, right click on the LIDAR Layer label and select "Zoom to All Files" or "Pan to All Files".
  • You can use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out within the map window.
