Attempting to save points as in TerraScan results in an error stating, “Cannot save file”.
The error message usually results when the operating system throws an error when TerraScan is attempting to save the file. It can happen if:
- the drive is out of space
- the file is open for read or write by another program/user so TerraScan can’t get a write lock on it from the OS
- or if the network location fails to respond in a timely manner
