Happy new year! With the new year upon us we want to provide some important information about the Terrasolid product licenses. Each year Terrasolid releases a major version change. Note that this isn’t a major release in the traditional sense as Terrasolid releases incremental releases of the software packages on a continual basis which add new features, fix bugs and makes modifications to existing features. We have already seen a number of new features and capabilities enabled by the move to the 64-bit MicroStation CONNECT and PowerDraft CONNECT editions during the past year. We expect to continue to build upon these enhancements in the products. More information on the new features will be presented during our monthly series of Terrasolid training webinars for customers with current maintenance. Specific topical on-site training is also available for a nominal fee for customers wishing to keep their production teams up-to-date on the latest tools and workflows, or introduce new users to the products. Contact GeoCue Group Support, email@example.com , or by phone, +1-256-461-8289, for more information.
The major version change corresponds with the end of the calendar year based maintenance cycle, which ended on December 31, 2016. All of the Terrasolid version 016 licenses which are currently in use will expire on March 31, 2017. The three-month overlap is in place to allow ample time for the new version to be released, licenses generated, and customers to test and move production to the new version. Prior to March 31st, 2017 everyone with current maintenance will be required to move to the new v017 products and licenses. Terrasolid plans to release the v017 products by early February 2017 following final testing during their European User Event. The v017 products will be supported on at least the same platforms as the v016 ones are currently. The plan is to continue to support the v8/v8i series for some time yet. Although there will likely only be a single release for those Bentley products barring any major issues.
By now everyone should have received their maintenance renewal statements. If you have not already done so please settle these with Terri Lewis, firstname.lastname@example.org, as soon as possible. For those that have already renewed we thank you very much for your business. If there is anything at all that we can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact us.
