- Compute Vegetation Index Distances for each point
- How much the vegetation index value of a point differs from the limit
- Smooth distance values
- Reduce noise by averaging values inside local neighborhood
- Use distance rating in Ground Classification Routine
- Vegetation points are less likely included in the resulting ground class
