Specifying Displacement/Delta Warnings

About Displacement/Delta Warnings

In order to satisfy the downstream criteria for the conflation method, individual vertices may be adjusted along the z axis up or down. You may request warnings or notifications of features that contain vertices that have been adjusted further than a specified threshold. Any vertices with absolute value deltas exceeding this value will generate a warning message.

If the output feature class can store m values, individual delta values are stored in the m values for the output geometry. This can be useful for further investigations of offending vertices within the output geometry.

How to Specify Displacement/Delta Warnings

Displacement/Delta Warning Checkbox

  1. Within the Downstream Conflation Method dialog, click the 'Display Warnings for Deltas exceeding' checkbox.F

  2. Input a threshold in the vertical units of the lidar data into the text box. Absolute value deltas exceeding this value will trigger a warning.
