Maximum Points to TIN/Contour

About the Maximum Points to TIN/Contour

The Maximum Points to Tin/Contour is the maximum allowable number of points to construct a TIN and/or build contours. This setting prevents constructing a TIN surface or contours from large numbers of points, such as when you use the Force 100% Resolution command to draw all the points of the LAS file in the map. The Maximum Points to TIN/Contour value must be greater than the Points per Refresh value but less than the Maximum Point Cache Size value.

How to Modify the Maximum Points to TIN/Contour

Modifying the Maximum Points to TIN/Contour on the Performance Options Tab

The Maximum Points to TIN/Contour value is entered in the Performance Options tab of the LIDAR Layer Properties dialog box. To change the Maximum Points to TIN/Contour, enter a whole number greater than the Number of Points per Refresh value and less than the Maximum Point Cache Size value.

See Modifying LIDAR Layer Display Performance Options for complete information on the LIDAR display performance options.
