About the Ground Point Filter
When using a height filter during the execution of a
planar filter, a set of ground point classes must be defined in order to construct a ground surface. Selecting the correct filter for the ground points can significantly increase the effectiveness and success of the planar filter. Mistakenly excluding points from the ground filter that are part of the ground surface can produce unexpected results of the planar filter.
If any ground points are included in the point
filter, they are automatically removed at the time the task is executed on point cloud data.
