About Selecting an Output Data Sets

The conflation process does not edit the input data set. An output data set that contains 3D geometry and/or fields containing conflated elevation values is created. You may select the output data set to be a shapefile, DXF, or DGN file format.

How to Select an Output Data Set

1. Within the Elevation Conflation dialog, click the browse button and navigate to the location to save a file.
   
   
2. Select the correct file filter to define the output format, and input a file name. Click the "Save" button to finish selecting the output data set.
   
   

Tip Selecting the DXF and DGN formats may limit the type of conflation method that can be used. For example, DXF and DGN formats will only store one z value for each vertex, but cannot store fields or attributes. The Summarize Z method can be configured to store z values as attributes which do not correlate to DXF and DGN formats.
