Symptom:
In LP360 License Administrator when configuring the license mode to “Use License Server” for a client machine the process returns an error message, “Error in setting up the floating license client. (24217) Failed to create the floating license file.”
Probable Resolution:
The License Administrator needs to be run using the right-click and “Run as Administrator” option otherwise it doesn’t have sufficient permissions to implement the desired settings modification.
