Problem:
launching lp360 in arcgis get the following error message:
Caller’s Message:
Failed to load point cloud task.(17900)
Exception Information:
HRESULT: 0x800401f3
Unable to retrieve extended COM error information.
Probable Resolution #1:
This error message can occur when attempting to install an older version of LP360 than what was previously on the machine. The message usually indicates that one or more of the Point Cloud Task formats has changed between versions and one or more of the PCTs on the machine are not backwards compatible.
- Close all instances of LP360.
- Rename the pctasks.xml file in the C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\LP360, where %user% is the current user logged into the machine when the error occurs.
- Open LP360 so that it may create a new pctasks.xml file with the default PCTs.
