Problem:
When attempting to setup the floating license client receive the message “Successfully completed setting up the floating license client but having trouble contacting the specified License Server. (24284) ERROR: No such host is known”.
ERROR: No Such Host is Known
Probable Resolution #1:
This error message indicates that the name of the license server was unable to be resolved to its respective IP address. Contact your local IT administrator for assistance or see probable resolution #2.
Probable Resolution #2:
This error message indicates that the name of the license server was unable to be resolved to its respective IP address. Obtain the IP address for the LP360 License Server host machine and enter it, instead of the name, in the License Server field of the License tab in the LP360 License Administrator on the client machine.
