Symptom:
While trying to setup the machine as a license server you receive one of the following error messages
- “Unable to setup the machine as a license server.”
- “Error in setting up the License Server (24216)”
Probable Resolution:
The License Administrator needs to be run using the right-click and “Run as Administrator” option, otherwise it doesn’t have sufficient permissions to implement the desired settings modification. This is due to a Microsoft Windows security feature designed to mitigate malware installations.
