This guide provides step-by-step instructions to securely mount TrueView sensors to the Inspired Flight IF800 drone, including payload, damping, and antenna installation. Follow these steps to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Smart dovetail adapter
The IF800 drone has many different options for the smart dovetail adapter. Please select the appropriate one for your payload.
Payload compatibility
The midweight pro damping kit is the standard interface provided by Inspired Flight for the IF800 drone.

Payload compatibility
The stock damping plate comes equipped on older models of IF800 drones.

PLI Payload adapter
Payloads with the PLI-type adapter (4 pegs) require an adapter to be installed on the IF800.
Geocue recommends the fixed payload adapter to mount your PLI-type payload.

Installing the Payload Adapter
- Slide the fixed payload mounting kit to the position for your payload

2. Slide the smart dovetail adapter payload-side into the drone-side adapter. Lock the cam handle.
3. Insert the payload into the PLI adapter. Lock the sliding handle on the 4 pegs.
The midweight pro damping kit can be modified to mount your PLI-type payload.
It must be locked in place to prevent movement.

2. Install the damping lock blocks
3. If a payload other than a TrueView payload needs to be flown the clamp can be loosened and stored on the IF800.
4. Align dovetail receiver and payload adapter and insert adapter into receiver. When the receiver
gets to the end of the travel it will click.
5. Push the red locking latch on the side of the dovetail receiver towards the back of the aircraft
until there is no more travel in the lever.
6. Insert the payload into the PLI adapter. Lock the sliding handle on the 4 pegs.
The IF800 stock damping plate can be modified to mount your PLI-type payload.
It must be locked in place to prevent movement.

- M3 x 11mm aluminium spacers (4)
- M3 x 20mm socket head screws (4)

- 2.5mm hex screwdriver
Installing the Payload Adapter
- Removed the 4 M3 screws holding the stock damping plate. Slide the spacers in place where the 4 mounting holes are.
2. Screw the 4 M3x20mm screws in place to lock the stock damping plate.
3. Slide the smart dovetail adapter payload-side into the drone-side adapter. Lock the cam handle.
4. Insert the payload into the PLI adapter. Lock the sliding handle on the 4 pegs.
Payload power connection
The IF800 provides power to payloads through the smart dovetail adapter. It does not required any special power connections.
Antenna Mount Installation
The IF800 drone has many options to mount the GNSS antenna. Please use the section for the mount that came with your payload.
This mount is provided by Inspired Flight.
Compatible with payloads:
- TrueView 540
- TrueView 515 / 535 / 545 with APX
- TrueView 625 / 655 / 660
1. Install the GNSS antenna on top of the drone (see Inspired Flight’s website for complete instructions)
2.Screw the payload’s antenna to the SMA connector on the GNSS mount.
(The antenna may look different than the image below depending on the payload)
3. Plug the MCX connector on the side of the drone.

1. Screw the payload’s antenna onto the SMA connector.
(The antenna may look different than the image below depending on the payload)
2. Install the center mount onto the drone.
3. Plug the MCX connector on the side of the drone.
This mast base is provided by Inspired Flight and is compatible with the TrueView antenna mast.
Compatible with payloads:
- TrueView 1 series
- TrueView 641/651
- TrueView 515/535 with TruNAV
1 . Slide the tabs on the GNSS mast base into the slots on the top of the drone.
2. Lock the base into place.
3. Screw the antenna and connect the MCX connector to the side of the drone. (The antenna may look different than the image below depending on the payload)

1. Screw the antenna mast onto the antenna base.
2. Install the antenna mast onto the drone.
3. Screw the payload’s antenna onto the SMA connector and plug the MCX connector to the side of the drone.
