Modifying the Points Filter

About Modifying the Points Filter

The points filter, which is made up of classification and return combination values, determines the points to display within the LIDAR Layer.

How to Modify the Points Filter

A display filter can be applied to points as they are retrieved from the LAS files. Applying a filter is useful for eliminating unnecessary points such as when working with the bare earth or ground points. A filter is the combination of the classification, return combination, and elevation attributes for an LAS point. Display filter tabs will display red if a filter is in play. Also, all filter buttons should display "<<Source Points>>..." when a point filter is actually set.
