Memory Error When Building Mesh in PhotoScan

One of the steps in AirGon’s PhotoScan processing workflow is to build a 3D mesh.  The mesh building step usually consumes more memory than other steps in the workflow and can lead to a memory error if the capacity is exceeded.  The source of this problem can sometimes be traced back to the selection of the Surface Type in the mesh building parameters.  PhotoScan offers two surface type methods for building the mesh, Arbitrary and Height Field.   Arbitrary can be used for any type of surface but does not consider the surface type being modeled.  Therefore, the amount of memory consumed is significantly greater.  Height Field is optimized for planar surfaces and consumes less memory.  Selecting Height Field as the surface type should eliminate this issue.
