GeoCue Client Error

Probable Resolution #1:

The GeoCue server is not running. There are multiple reasons that this could be occurring, please check the GeoCue Server Event Log for Error Messages.

Probable Resolution #2

A firewall is blocking access to GeoCue Server or vice versa. Please view our GeoCue Server – Windows Firewall and GeoCue Client Firewall Requirements articles for more info regarding potential resolutions.

Probable Resolution #3:

The user has recently moved the GeoCue Server to a new GeoCue Server location. This error message may indicate that the Client software is still pointed to the old server location. The solution to this error is to point the software to the correct server by modifying the registry.

Navigate to the following location in the Registry Editor:

“Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GeoCue\GeoCue Server”

Right-Click on the ‘ServerName’ key and select ‘Modify’.

Replace Value Data with new server name.
