TVGO Error – Real time point cloud exception

With True View GO 116 and 132, you can get the following error:

Real time point cloud exception, please restart the project!

It is a generic error message when the trajectory position is lost. This can happen in areas with reflective services like mirrors or cars. Also, it can happen when the scan is too close to a water body, where the surface of the water is too reflective. There should be no issues with the data after processing.

The point cloud displayed in the tablet is generated only from the laser with an “on the fly” SLAM algorithm, it is less powerful than the algorithm used during LP360 post processing. This means that no data has been lost, this is simply a warning message. After you get this error, the recommendation is to finish the collection as soon as possible and start a new project.

If you keep getting the error because you are surveying an area with reflective surfaces, disregard and continue the data collection.
