With True View GO 116 and 132, you can get the following error:
Real time point cloud exception, please restart the project!
It is a generic error message when the trajectory position is lost. it can happen in areas with reflective services like mirrors or cars. Also it can happen when the scan is too close to the sea where the surface of the water is too reflective. The data should be fine in after processing.
Remember that the point cloud displayed in the tablet is generated only from the laser with an “on the fly” SLAM algorithm, it is less powerful than the algorithm used during postprocessing. This means that no data has been lost. After you get this error, the recommendation is to finish the collection as soon as possible, and start a new project.
If you keep gettings the error because you are surveying an area with reflectant surfaces, just ignore it and keep with the data collection.
