How do I move my LP360 node-locked license to a new machine?

The new licensing system in LP360 v2018.1 and later allows users to move their own node-locked licenses from one machine to another.

For LP360 2018.1 and later:

  1. Start LP360 on the machine where you wish to deactivate the node-locked license.
  2. Open the License Manager (File -> License Manager)
  3. Select “Deactivate Node-locked License”. Note that you may not deactivate a node-locked license for a minimum of seven days from when it was activated on the machine.
  4. Install LP360 on the new hardware by downloading the latest version from the LP360 Installers page.
  5. Start LP360
  6. The new LP360 License Manager (replaces the former LP360 License Administrator and does not require any administrative rights) will appear.
    1. Enter your License String as supplied to the LP360 administrative contact on your account into the License String box and click set. If you do not have your License String please contact us at support@lp360.com.

Note: It is necessary to enable outbound communications to ls24.rlmcloud.com [104.245.35.155] or ls41.rlmcloud.com [69.87.216.91], as specified in your License String, on ports 5053 and Company specific port# on any firewalls for the product to communicate with the hosted license server. These ports are normally open by default on most firewalls.

  1. The left side, Available Licenses, will show your available license types, including the LP360 Viewer Floating licenses.
  2. Select your desired license level from the dropdown list and select “Activate Node-Locked” to enable a node-locked LP360 license on that machine for the desired timeframe. Note: Node-locked licenses cannot be deactivated for a minimum of seven days from activation.
  3. Select Close to close the LP360 License Manager and open LP360 at the desired license level.
  4. You can reopen the LP360 License Manager at any time from within LP360 (File -> License Manager) to change license levels like one used to do in the “License” menu.

For LP360 v2017.1 and earlier:

  1. Uninstall LP360 from the old hardware.
  2. Download the latest release of LP360 from the LP360 Installers page.
  3. Install LP360 (LP360x64_vx.x.x.x.msi)
  4. If desired, install the LP360 for ArcGIS extension (LP360forArcGIS_vx.x.x.x.msi)
  5. Start LP360
  6. The new LP360 License Manager (replaces the former LP360 License Administrator and does not require any administrative rights) will appear.
    1. Enter your License String as supplied to the LP360 administrative contact on your account into the License String box and click set. If you do not have your License String please contact us at support@lp360.com.
